Description
Grown in the Nyeri County of Kenya, AA Kangocho coffee comes from the Gikanda Farmers Cooperative Society, situated on the slopes of Mount Kenya. The area benefits from mineral-rich volcanic soils, consistent rainfall, and high altitudes (1600-1800 masl), providing the perfect environment for producing premium-quality coffee. The factory has over 1,300 smallholder members who cultivate coffee with great care.
The coffee undergoes a traditional washed process. After the ripe cherries are harvested, they are pulped and fermented for 12 hours, followed by a washing and density-based separation. The parchment coffee is then dried for around 14 days on raised beds under the Kenyan sun, ensuring a clean, structured, and vibrant profile.
Handpickers selected AA Kangocho for its bright fruit-forward character and exceptional balance. The flavors are a harmonious blend of dried berries, blackberry, and milk chocolate sweetness. The soft and medium intensity makes it a perfect addition to any portfolio, showcasing the quality and complexity of Nyeri coffees.
