Description
Hambela in Guji is one of Ethiopia’s most iconic coffee-producing regions, known for its high altitudes, volcanic red soils, and unique microclimate. Established in 2019, Buku Abel Washing Station sits on a small hill at 1,900–2,100 masl, receiving cherries from around 500 smallholder farmers with semi-forest farms.
This coffee undergoes the traditional Ethiopian washed process—pulped, fermented, washed, and dried on raised beds. The result is a clean, vibrant cup with high acidity and floral-fruity complexity, showcasing notes of delicate stone fruit, passion fruit, and jammy sweetness.
We selected this lot because it reflects the true character of Guji terroir and delivers elegant intensity. Perfectly structured for espresso, it offers clarity, juiciness, and layered aromatics with every shot.
