Description
The SL28 variety, known for its deep flavor profile and bright acidity, was cultivated at Gesha Village, near the edge of the Illubabor Forest at 2,000 masl. In 2025, this lot was chosen for the Champions Reserve Auction, recognized as one of the finest coffees of the year for its balance, structure, and breathtaking clarity. The natural process was carried out on specially designed raised beds with UV filtration, where freshly picked cherries dried for at least 26 days. This method enhances sweetness and depth, developing flavors of red fruit, plum, green apple candy, and fragrant tea with a subtle minty finish. At Handpickers, we selected this coffee because it represents the meeting point between artistry and perfection. It’s a coffee that captures the essence of dedication, time, and craft — transformed into pure emotion in every cup.
