Description
Finca San Francisco is a large farm of 294 hectares that has been divided into several parts. Cherries are kept separate for improved processing and preparation. José Antonio Salaverría’s family has three main coffee producing areas around the Santa Ana Volcano in El Salvador. They have always produced high quality on a larger scale, but previously the coffee was mainly divided into a few brands based on the three main regions, Santa Rita, San Francisco and El Molino. The farms in the surrounding area are 100 years old! It is noteworthy that they offer very good wages for the workers and teach environmental practices regarding coffee sorting, which unfortunately does not happen often.
By creating the right systems they help employees be efficient so they can leave earlier and spend more time with their families!
They offer job safety training, housing for casual workers in San Francisco, health care for workers through doctors who visit the farms, plus they pay for their medical care too!
The most impressive thing about the coffees of the Salaverria family is the overall quality of the cherry picking: deep red and uniform color. Considering the growing volumes, it’s amazing what we come across!
