Corazón de Jesús is located in the Brunca region, Costa Rica’s youngest coffee-growing area. The micromill is owned by the Alvarado Fonseca family, who founded it in 2015 with the vision of gaining national and international recognition. Their dedication to quality has been rewarded with multiple distinctions in Cup of Excellence and national competitions. This coffee is processed using the Natural Reposado method, developed after months of experimentation. The process includes two fermentation stages and extremely slow drying. Cherries ferment first in bags at controlled temperatures, followed by a second, wine-inspired fermentation before finishing drying on patios. The result is complexity, structure, and clarity. We chose this coffee because it reflects what we stand for at Handpickers: innovation with purpose, technical precision, and honest expression of terroir. In the cup, we aim to honor the work, risk, and vision of the Alvarado Fonseca family, delivering an espresso with depth, sweetness, and emotional impact,
This recipe highlights caramel sweetness, chocolate depth, and cherry brightness, with a round body and long finish.

Coffee for us is a daily “ritual”. We managed to create a place where we would share our passion with you.
