La Claudina is one of Juan Saldarriaga’s farms in Ciudad Bolívar, sitting at 1,400–1,800 masl. Known for extensive research on varieties and processing, the farm cultivates Castillo, Catuai, Tabi, Geisha, and more. Since 2012, Juan has transformed his family legacy into a benchmark of innovation in Colombia. The coffee is naturally processed. Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, carefully sorted, and undergo dry fermentation before being dried under controlled conditions using shade and cold-air drying systems. This preserves the natural fruity sweetness and builds remarkable depth and structure in the cup.We selected this coffee because it embodies what we stand for at Handpickers: character, technique, and respect for the raw material. Every cup should tell the story of the farm and the producer — a sensory journey from the origin to your home.
