Cultivation & Harvest
From Oma block, 1,950–2,100 masl, under native forest canopy and natural mulch.
This coffee from the Oma block at Gesha Village is a rare Gesha 1931 natural lot — a masterpiece of complexity and balance. With wild floral aromatics, juicy red fruits, and creamy notes of white chocolate and pomegranate, it represents the bold, elegant energy of Gesha Village at its finest.

In 2015, Alexandros Foukis spent fifteen unforgettable days at Gesha Village, deep in the Illubabor Forest, where the world’s most iconic coffee variety was born. Walking through the Oma block, he felt the morning mist, the scent of blooming flowers, and the dedication of farmers who treat every tree as a living being. That journey transformed his passion for coffee into a lifelong mission. The Oma Gesha 1931 grows at 1,950–2,100 masl, on fertile volcanic soil, and is processed naturally. Fully ripe cherries are slowly dried on raised beds for 25 days under filtered sunlight, developing a syrupy body and vibrant fruit character. The resulting cup is layered and expressive — wild flowers, red grapes, pomegranate, and creamy white chocolate. We selected the Oma Natural because it embodies what we value most at Handpickers: intensity balanced by grace. It is a coffee that reminds us how nature’s greatness can be captured in a single bean — and revealed in your cup.
This recipe highlights the sweetness of the natural Gesha 1931, with lush fruit texture and a floral–chocolate finish.
