Finca El Molino, home to the Buena Vista block, stands as one of the emblematic estates of the Salaverria family in the iconic region of Santa Ana, El Salvador. At altitudes between 1,400–1,700 meters, this farm benefits from volcanic soils, cool microclimates, and deeply rooted coffee tradition. With decades of experience and a relentless drive for innovation, the Salaverria family has elevated coffee cultivation into an art form — and Buena Vista #1 is a testament to that legacy. This specific lot, a natural-processed Bourbon, was hand-harvested at peak ripeness and dried slowly on patios to concentrate its sugars and preserve its bold, jammy character. The natural method brings out intense notes of red berry cordial, winey acidity, and soft herbal undertones — resulting in a complex, syrupy espresso that dances on the palate. The attention to detail at every stage — from harvest to drying — speaks to the deep craftsmanship behind this coffee. At Handpickers, we chose Buena Vista #1 not just for its striking flavor, but for the story it carries — of resilience, precision, and legacy.
