El Cedral farm is located in Dota, within the heart of Costa Rica’s renowned Los Santos region. At high elevations that favor slow cherry maturation, Adelina Fallas continues her family’s fourth-generation coffee legacy. The coffee is processed using the washed method, with depulping and clean water washing, followed by drying in a solar greenhouse on raised beds for seven days. This careful process enhances clarity, bright acidity, and structured sweetness, highlighting citrus and chocolate-driven flavors. We selected El Cedral because it represents the precision and consistency we seek at Handpickers. It is an espresso that honors the producer and the terroir, delivering balance, depth, and a long, satisfying finish—ideal for high-quality home brewing.
This recipe delivers a sweet chocolate foundation, bright orange notes, and a smooth vanilla finish, with balanced structure and length.
